Gentoo installed!Some configuration left.

Well,I took the plunge and installed Gentoo 2007 through text installer today.I was delaying for quite a few weeks thinking that I got to get a GUI before I can be sure about my install,but I made a leap of faith and went ahead,though the partitioning step scared the guts out of me since my prospective / and my Ubuntu /home had nearly the same size.But,I held my wits about me and completed the install.Also,I got an idea of continuing my blog’s linux tutorials as a documentation of my journey through the progressively harder linux distros(harder==not as easy as Ubuntu or other “n00b-friendly” distros)
So,I have a continuing string of experiences to write about while helping other users out there.Since I refused to install the Gentoo Grub,I now have to add a entry for Gentoo in my Ubuntu menu.lst,hopefully it will work out,if it doesn’t,atleast I have a working dual boot system(XP+Ubuntu) which can keep and try to install Gentoo again later via a different methodology.
